About Wellington Rape Crisis

Wellington Rape Crisis was established in 1978 by a small group of women who identified, and responded to, a community need by creating a support network for women survivors of rape and sexual abuse. Today we are an Incorporated Society and registered charity who provide support to women and gender diverse survivors of sexual violence.

We operate with a volunteer Governance Group who are responsible for the strategic direction and financial oversight of the organisation, and are accountable to our membership base.
